I named the skeins, "Tropical Holiday," because of the brown (the beach), the teal (the sea) and the yellow (pineapple daiquiris) that weaves their way through the skeins.
Just tell me what is your favorite knitting pattern. In other words, what do you like to knit the most? What pattern do you use to knit that favorite item?
I will draw the lucky winner next Monday evening, (June 23).
Loved all your new posts. My favorite pattern is the little baby sweater that I knit all the time -- it's about all I knit, but I need so many of them for gifts. :)Beautiful yarn! Glad the class went well. Wished I could have participated in Knit in Public but I was busy beyond words.
I like to knit socks. My favorite sock pattern is Fiesta Feet by Lucy Neatby. I've knit two pairs of those. Jackie in Chicago.
We did have a fun day!I'm always knitting socks..just basic, and plain, letting the sock yarn do it's magic.Top-to-Toe Crew Socks by Priscilla Gibson-Roberts And now there's helmet liners..3 done and 14 more planned, waiting for a yarn order. http://www.usmcmuseum.org/knitpattern.pdf And there's a fun one I do for gifts, Reverse-Bloom Flower Washcloth http://www.canadianliving.com/crafts/knitting/knitted_flower_washcloth.phpnancy in kokomo
Would love to be in your next class. You are tempting me by letting me touch your sample yarns in the store. One of my favorite things to knit is socks and just about any pattern that does not have mistakes in it is something I will try. Right now I am looking for a good toe up pattern.
I love knitting socks. I love to try a lot of different patterns, but I most often find myself coming back to the Thuja pattern from Knitty (sometimes modified to use sock-weight yarn) because it's simple enough to knit while thinking about something else but a little more interesting than stockinette. Also, they fit my feet really well.
I can't wait to learn the magic in class! My favorite things to knit are top-down sweaters. Although I use a lot of the Pure & Simple patterns as skeletons, I usually make lots of my own adjustments.
That colorway is gorgeous!I haven't started making socks yet (partly because I've been nervous about venturing into dpn's, partly because I just haven't been able to fill out my needle collection yet), but I'd like to, soon. The thing I knit the most of is wool soakers (cloth diaper covers)for my daughter - I think I've made nine to date. I've made a couple of different patterns, but the one I like the most is my modified version of the Ottobre Designs pattern. Once I start using circs, though, I'll probably find patterns I like even more ;).
