Hello Friends! Happy Father's Day a day late! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. We did! Saturday morning we headed up to Zionsville - our normal Saturday morning outing during the summer. But this Saturday was far from normal.
The little farmer's market was buzzing....
And the cutest little cars (Porshe) were lining the street at the village prepared for their annual Porshe Festival. John was in heaven looking at all the cars and JK was more than happy to take him around to view the cars. John astounded us by asking the various drivers rather intelligent questions for a 3.5 year old about the cars. One man was so impressed he allowed John to sit in the car and try out the steering wheel.
Meanwhile, a little further up Main Street, Heather and Mom were joining in the annual Zionsville Paint Out. It was so cute to see them both paining and enjoying it. You can see my little knitting bag and coffee in the right hand corner of the picture. I sat down with them for a little while and knitted. It was soooo much fun.
During our painting/knitting we came across this cute little house with a "lending library" out front! Isn't it adorable? If you take a book you leave a book for someone else to choose. What a fun thought!
After mom and Heather finished one sketch they would pick up and head off to find another spot. It was hard to choose. There were so many pretty spots to paint.
Another spot found! And to work they went on their next watercolor sketch. Unfortunately it was time for me to head home. I had some things to pick up at the grocery store, a Father's Day Pie to make for JK and a nice dinner to cook for him.
