Yarn Along

Hello Lovely Friends!
How are all of you? This week has been one of different routines.  JK has been out of town on a business trip and I've been single parenting. UGH! I know some of you deal with this on a regular basis and my heart goes out to you! Phew! I was prepared for the long days but I wasn't prepared for the bad attitudes and discipline issues that have suddenly cropped up. Boys need their dads.

BUT... in the evenings I have been crafting up a storm. I've decorated the house for autumn. I've created new project bags for my knitting and... I've been knitting.

I've also been reading. I devoured "How to Catch a Frog" by Heather Ross ( a very talented fabric designer). There are so many things I can relate to - her parents married in 1969 and moved to Vermont (my parents married the same year and moved to Vermont soon after). She has a sister. She had a very artistic mother (and family). Does any of this sound familiar? Her parents eventually got divorced (so did mine) but she used her craft and desire for creating to move her through those hard times and out of her family dysfunction. I can SO relate to that! It is a story of triumph and I loved it!

What are you up to this Wednesday? Any good reads you've found?

Wow - so many lovely projects you have going on. I had to do the single parent thing for a few months when my daughter was a year old. Not fun at all.

Fortunately Justin has been home the past two weeks after a big stint of travel. Felted items look great! Did you order the yarn or was it a gift? Where's it from?

Hi Stephanie! The top yarn is from String Theory in Blue Hill Maine. A skein I picked up on vacation there several years ago. The bottom skein I ordered from Kauni yarn on Esty! It came from Estonia and shipped quickly!
